Global Institute for Simulation Training
A nonprofit 501(c)(3), independent organization, the Global Institute for Simulation Training enhances clinical team training through the use of standardized patients, as well as high-fidelity human patient simulators (computerized mannequins). The Institute will conduct training courses and services nationwide to help instructors and trainees optimize learner experiences for better outcomes through simulation training. The Institute welcomes medical and nursing schools, colleges, and high schools, as well as paramedics, firefighters, clinicians, professional trainers, home healthcare practitioners, counselor educators or anyone who has an interest and a need to enhance the skills of their staff and learners.
The Simulation Training Center has flexible training space that can be configured for clinical training with standardized patients or simulation training with high-fidelity human patient simulators.
Clinical and Simulator Training
Trainees can experience a hands-on approach to learning, review their own actions, and discuss areas of competence and development.
Learning Management System
The Center’s learning management system allows trainees to input patient data into a simulated electronic health record, which helps to simulate a true clinical environment.
Learners can participate in a wide variety of scenarios, all captured through the A-V system and debriefed within the Simulation Training Center's multiple classrooms.
